TWIN CITIES, Minnesota — Blizzard conditions will make travel “almost impossible” on Friday, the National Weather Service said.
“Dangerously cold, significant snowstorms and drifting snow make movement nearly impossible today and tonight, especially in the open areas outside of town.These conditions are life threatening if you are stranded.DO NOT MOVE. Please give me.”
Northwest gusts are expected to reach 50 mph on Friday, with gusts of over 50 mph possible in areas with blizzard warnings.
Wind chills are expected to reach minus 32 degrees Celsius in the Twin Cities metropolitan area within the next 24 hours.
